On November 2, 2025, the team from Novel Mind & Wellness Center (NMWC) proudly joined hundreds of participants at Cascades Park for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP) Out of the Darkness Walk in Tallahassee. This was our second year supporting this meaningful community event.

Each year, the walk unites individuals, families, and advocates with one shared goal — to prevent suicide through compassion, education, and connection. As a result, the event continues to grow in both attendance and impact. It was a day filled with heartfelt stories, uplifting conversations, and a renewed sense of purpose for everyone involved.

At NMWC, we believe that community events like this play a vital role in breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. By participating, we help create space for open dialogue and collective healing. These gatherings also strengthen the sense of belonging that so many people need during their wellness journey.

Our ongoing involvement with AFSP reflects our mission to raise awareness, expand access to care, and empower individuals on their path to healing. Ultimately, our goal is simple — to ensure that everyone feels seen, supported, and never alone.

We are deeply grateful to have walked alongside so many compassionate people and organizations. Together, every step and every conversation moved us closer to a world where mental health is understood, accepted, and supported without judgment.
