Members of the community join together to end one of the leading causes of death
WTXL TALLAHASSEE reported a heartfelt effort to address one of the leading causes of death in Leon County, over 200 community members gathered for the second annual Out of the Darkness Walk. The event aimed to raise awareness and support for suicide prevention, following the tragic report of 42 suicide cases in Leon County for 2021.
The walk brought together individuals from all walks of life, including those who have lost loved ones to suicide. Terry Gilliam Jr., spoke to various participants who shared poignant conversations, emphasizing the importance of community support in preventing such tragedies.
