Mary Elizabeth Davis, DNP, APRN, PMHNP
Dr. Mary (Liz) Davis, FNP-BC (-C), DNP, AGACNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a seasoned Nurse Practitioner with a wealth of experience in various healthcare settings. Currently serving as a Hospitalist NP at HCA Capital Hospital, she brings a unique blend of expertise and advanced training to patient care.
Liz began her journey in nursing with an AS degree from Tallahassee Community College, followed by a BSN from Fort Hays State University. Her dedication to advancing her knowledge led her to pursue further education, earning both a Family Nurse Practitioner Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and post-master’s certificates in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialties.
Throughout her career, Liz has demonstrated versatility and proficiency across various specialties, including NICU, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Cardiovascular ICU. Her hands-on experience in these critical areas has equipped her with invaluable insights into patient care and management.
In addition to her clinical roles, Liz has also contributed to nursing education, serving as a clinical faculty member for the FSU accelerated registered nursing program. Through her teaching endeavors, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals, imparting her knowledge and expertise to aspiring nurses. Liz has further demonstrated her commitment to mentorship by serving as a preceptor in both her roles as a registered nurse and Nurse Practitioner. Through these mentorship roles, she has provided guidance and support to nursing students and novice practitioners, instilling in them the values of compassion, excellence, and lifelong learning.
With a passion for holistic care and a commitment to continuous learning, Liz remains dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to her patients. Her comprehensive skill set, coupled with her compassionate approach, makes her a valued member of the healthcare team, dedicated to improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of nursing.
Driven by a desire to explore innovative treatment modalities, Liz developed a keen interest in the administration of Ketamine for depression and pain management during her PMHNP program. Inspired by patient testimonies highlighting the profound impact of Ketamine therapy on their lives, she embarked on a journey to further understand and integrate this novel approach into her practice. Since joining Novel Mind and Wellness Center, Liz has witnessed firsthand the transformative effects of Ketamine therapy, witnessing patients experience relief from debilitating symptoms and reclaiming their quality of life. Committed to staying at the forefront of psychiatric care, she remains dedicated to expanding access to cutting-edge treatments and improving mental health outcomes for her patients.
