Dr. Jennifer L. Ross, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist | Integration Director
Dr. Jennifer L. Ross is a licensed psychologist who earned her doctorate from Florida State University in 2017, following completion of her clinical internship at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. She has worked in the mental health and educational fields since 2000 and brings over 15,000 hours of direct clinical experience to her practice.
In addition to her extensive background in traditional psychological assessment and psychotherapy, Dr. Ross has devoted recent years to exploring and integrating alternative, evidence-based approaches for the treatment of complex posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, and panic disorder. Her interest in psychedelic-assisted therapy was catalyzed by Michael Pollan’s How to Change Your Mind, which prompted deeper investigation into emerging interventions that expand the boundaries of psychological healing.
Dr. Ross recognizes ketamine-assisted therapy as a valuable and rapidly evolving modality within contemporary mental health care. Clinical research indicates that ketamine can serve as a powerful catalyst for symptom relief in individuals who have not responded adequately to conventional treatments. When paired with structured, skilled integration therapy, ketamine-assisted treatment can support clients in meaningfully processing insights gained during treatment and translating those experiences into lasting improvements in emotional functioning, interpersonal relationships, and overall quality of life.
In 2025, Dr. Ross began collaborating with Kelle Logan and the clinicians at Novel Mind Wellness Center to provide specialized integration services for individuals undergoing ketamine treatment. Her integration work is informed by the framework of the Integrative Psychiatry Institute, and she is an active member of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), ensuring her clinical approach is grounded in ethical, research-informed, and patient-centered practices.
How Integration Works
Ketamine is not intended to function as a stand-alone intervention. Rather, it is a unique medication that can facilitate therapeutic progress by enhancing neuroplasticity and emotional openness. Dr. Ross works collaboratively with clients and their established mental health providers to help them understand how to effectively utilize ketamine sessions within the context of ongoing psychotherapy.
Dr. Ross consults with both the client and their primary mental health provider—either in person or via telehealth—to determine whether ketamine-assisted therapy is an appropriate option and to provide structure, guidance, and clinical coordination throughout the process. Integration sessions focus on helping clients and providers translate ketamine experiences into intentional therapeutic change under the guidance of the primary treating clinician, with additional support from Novel Mind Wellness Center.
Much like the relationship between a primary care physician and a medical specialist, ketamine-assisted treatment and integration services function as a specialized adjunct to existing mental health care, supporting and enhancing the client’s overall therapeutic progress.
